  • You on my mind II

Oil and Mixed media on canvas.

During Lock down I was unable to travel to my studio so I decided to build on my miniature paintings from my ‘lockdown studio’ aka – the kitchen table

Working on a miniature scale has been a great way to experiment with new approaches and materials. I have painted many of these and they have become part of my ‘Moments of being’ series – they’re visual expressions of moments; emotions and musings on daily life

  • Zeit Geist II

Zeit Geist II- Ink , acrylic and mixd media on canvas

Ink, acrylic and mixed media on canvas. This piece along with Check in III is part of a series on heads / portrait images I made on the theme ‘watching you, watching me’. This is a glimpse into a brief encounter, a passing moment viewing and communicating through screens. I built these up in layers of ink paint and printed pattern.

  • Zen

Ink, gold ink and gold leaf on Aquarelle paper (acid free). (framed).

This painting draws on the elements of Zen meditation. The enso ( top right) is the symbol of focus for harmony, the sweeping brushstrokes are the elements of water and air and the black ink represents the pull we have to earth. It represents the fact that with practice and effort we can create positive steps.

A black wood frame complements this piece.
