  • In Retrospect 2

    £150.00

Painting in miniature is a great way to test ideas and compositions before committing to larger canvases.

I enjoyed painting at this size so much that I created a large series of miniatures as final paintings in their own right. In Retrospect 2 is the 2nd version of a portrait of a girl, viewed from behind. Originally a test idea for my series Ghost Story, the colours on this painting are painted the “right way round”, whereas the first version was painted with an opposite colour palette. This play on use of colour palette and inverse colours is how I like to explore new and unexpected colour combinations.

A black wood frame complements this piece.

  • In The Flow

    £1,900.00

Oil and mixed media on canvas. ‘In The Flow’ is a playful observation of a ‘camera ready’ moment of interaction and social display.

I like to build up the paint in layers then score, scape or and comb through the surface – it gives the image a transient quality

  • Jazz Notes

    £475.00

Painting ink and gold leaf on canvas.

I always find artistic responses to music so fascinating and have worked with several composers over the years….this time listening and then finding the exact space to respond is as important for me as the gestural responses.

It is like a dance with brush and ink – feel from the intuitive core and let go!
