  • Catalyst 2

    £1,950.00

Acrylic on canvas (framed)Another favourite Lockdown theme of mine: foxgloves.

At a time when there was little life around, I relied on whatever was growing in the garden to fill my sketchbooks. Foxgloves are graceful yet at the same time can be quite unruly and an interesting subject matter. I’ve painted these using many colour combinations and techniques over the past few years, but they really came into their own during lockdownThese large versions became known as “catalysts” because of the way they initiated so much inspiration for me during lockdown.

A wood floater frame complements this piece.

  • Chalara

    £1,550.00

Acrylic and collage on canvas (framed).

A new kind of landscape is emerging on the South Downs and Weald valley of South East England, where Spring flowers grow amongst ash trees blighted with Ash die-back disease.

  • Check in III

    £490.00

Mixed media monotype on canvas.  This piece along with Zeit Geist II is part of a series on heads / portrait images I made on the theme ‘watching you, watching me’. This is a glimpse into a brief encounter, a passing moment viewing and communicating through screens. I built these up in layers of ink paint and printed pattern.

  • Chuchoter

    £1,200.00

Acrylic and collage on canvas (framed).

The Infinity series is about patterns within patterns. Chuchoter (whisper) is all about Chinese Whispers: hushed rumours that are misheard, passed on and on and change over time. A black or natural wood frame complements this piece.

  • Coffee Pot and Dahlias II

    £1,200.00

    Oil on board (framed).

I set up a photo of the still life initially.  It was painted at the end of the summer with the last of the dahlias from my garden and some of my favourite vases.

I wanted to try and capture the joy of all the components talking to each other.

A white wood frame complements this piece.

  • Cultra 1

    £395.00

Watercolour and acrylic on Arches paper (unframed). Painting across flat planes, using the sky and horizon to depict the dimension is a recurring theme in my work. Semi abstract, with a hint at landscape or seascape, allowing the viewer to travel across the paper, absorbing texture, brushwork and colour. Cultra sits along the south eastern shore of Lough Neagh along the NorthDown coastal path, a beautiful part of the North of Ireland with hidden coves, heathery gorse and so many beautiful spots to sit and paint.

  • Darker States 1

    £1,850.00

Mixed media on canvas. The surface is heavily textured and built up over many layers. Through the contrast of darkness and light I wanted this painting to capture a certain mood and atmosphere, whilst also having a sense of drama.

  • Darker States 2

    £1,850.00

Mixed media on canvas. Layers of gloss and rich red oil paint repel and attract each other leading to a highly textured surface. Through the slow and meditative process of creating it, I hoped to instil it with the essence of a state of mind.
