NEW!! JOIN US AT THE CONTEMPORARY ART FAIRS : Sandown Racecourse, Esher, Surrey

October 2 - October 4

The contemporary art fair

The contemporary art fair

This will be the first COVID-SAFE/Socially distanced fair of the Contemporary Art Fairs post lockdown. We are really excited about being able to show you new work by all of our artists who have been busy creating throughout the Spring and Summer months. Athertongreenart are also proud to introduce Sophie Bartlett, Georgina Pearce and Kate Henderson, who will be exhibiting with us for the first time at the Contemporary art show Surrey. See below for more information on our exciting and new artists.

Come and visit us – we will be on stand 74 . A weekend of over 160 curated artists, printmakers, photographers, sculptors, ceramicists and selected galleries from all over the UK and Europe; offering the very best in contemporary art.

Fill that drab looking wall space in your home or office with some affordable artwork from our fantastic selection of artists, whose work has been carefully curated. New, never before seen pieces, will be on display over the weekend. Spruce your space up for the winter months and get in there quickly before your favourite work is gone. Looking forward to seeing you there!” Contact us directly for complementary tickets.

MEET NEW ARTISTS

Winchester based artist Georgina Pearce works with gold and precious metal leaf to reflect and encourage light.
Her work is inspired by the positive effects light can have on us.

Kate Henderson’s sculpture is based on a purity and simplicity of form and finish, creating sensual objects that beg to be touched. These very modern pieces are crafted using traditional skills and tools, and the finished results reflect Kate’s passion and creative freedom.

Sophie Bartlett was born and grew up on a farm in Hawkley, Hampshire. She went to

Art College at West Surrey and graduated with a BA (Hons) from Hull College of Art in

1984. Her work is loosely figurative and based on things she sees that excite her.

She is primarily interested in light, colour and form. Her work can be described as ‘loosely

impressionistic’, encompassing landscape, still life and figurative subjects. She works in a

variety of media, sometimes adding collage, adding contrast and texture.
