Louise Kaye

I have a studio based practice and work largely as a painter and ceramicist . Nature Nature Nature and “Where We are at ” has always been my starting point.

I paint, collage, print and make ceramics questioning the limits of beauty and redundancy. Colour is bold, bright and often garish : collage both joins and separates the cohesion of an image and the ceramics are often a composite patchwork of clays glazes and oxides .

Included in the work for Atherton Gallery are paintings of plants and landscapes that express the power of nature with ceramics such as “Made For You ” trophy to the Natural World to which we owe everything.

I live and work in London and have a BA HONS Fine Art and Critical Studies Central St Martins London
