Acrylic, oil, graphite, pastel and collage on canvas. Music, layers of everyday life and the residue of experience inspired this painting I built up the surface using a medley of embossed and printed-papers in layers (mostly from my old printed proofs) to form the composition before I applied paint. I wanted to create an atmosphere of sound and the whirring of a mind absorbed in a moment of reflection.
