Oil, Acrylic, charcoal and pastel on canvas. The starting point for this piece was a sketch of the track in Dorset that I walk on most days with my dog. It’s a chalk track with fields on both sides at the top of Cranborne Chase in North Dorset.
I’m often tramping along listening to the skylarks making their beautiful, distinctive song- they are constantly serenading us as we walk the length of the path. So the irony here is the “path”seems to be morphing into a bird in flight. 100 cm x 100 cm
