Pigmented polished limestone concrete – edition 1/10. This piece was originally carved in California from Nephrite Jade which is known as “Big Sur Jade” hence the name .
All of my work is inspired by forms found in nature but then controlled by design and Big Sur took shape based on these principles.
I always work with the material and any anomalies it throws up, so often the decisions don’t feel like mine at all!.
